Graduated in Biological Sciences - Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay (2002), PhD in Sciences (Microbiology) from the University of São Paulo (2008) and post-doctorate at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo (2012). Currently, he is conducting postdoctoral research in Genetics at the University of São Paulo, studying the Bone Differentiation of Embryonic Stem Cells Derived from a Murine Model for Marfan Syndrome. Has experience with adenoviral and baculoviral vectors and vaccines, as well as with the expression and purification of proteins using eukaryotic and prokaryotic systems. Has extensive experience in handling experimental animals (mice). Has expertise in cell culture techniques, from maintenance of ordinary cell lines to culture of mouse embryonic stem cells (mESC) and has knowledge in differentiation techniques of mESC into osteoblasts. Also, he has experience in Genetics, with emphasis on detection of chromosomal anomalies by cytogenetic techniques. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
