PhD in Physiology in the Graduate Program of Functional and Molecular Biology (UNICAMP) (2009) with a sandwich period at the Institute of Bioengineering, Unidad de Fisiología y Nutrición, Universidad Miguel Hernández (UMH), Spain (2008). Post-doctorate by Faculty of Sciences - UNESP (2010). Applied an Albert Renold Fellowship in the Unit of Cellular Physiology and Nutrition of Physiologie Cellulaire et Métabolisme, Center Médical Universitaire, Université de Genève, Switzerland (2012), a Santander Young Researchers in the Institute of Biomedical Research of Malaga (IBIMA), Spain (2014), another Albert Renold Fellowship in the Institute of the Bioengineering - UMH (2015) and a Mobility Program by the Carolina Foundation at the Andalusian Center for Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine (CABIMER), Spain (2018). He is currently Associate Professor 1 in the Department of Physiological Sciences (CCB / UFSC), Coordinator of the Laboratory of Research in Chronic Diseases - LIDoC. He is accredited in the Multicentric Program of Graduation in Physiological Sciences and in the Graduate Program in Pharmacology - CCB / UFSC and is Researcher 2 of CNPq since 2015. He works as a collaborating researcher in the Diabetes Unit - UMH, Spain. He has been a member of the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports since 2019 and is an ad hoc reviewer of renowned international journals (eg, American Journal Physiology, EBioMedicine, Endocrinology, Scientific Reports, PLoS One) as well as development agencies (CNPq, FAPESP and FAPESC ). Its scientific projects and articles demonstrate the experience in metabolic, functional, structural and molecular parameters involved in glycemic homeostasis in conditions of altered peripheral insulin sensitivity and / or glucose tolerance (commonly observed in Obesity, Metabolic Syndrome, Type 2 Diabetes and gestation ).
