The project consists of the study of simplicial homology and its application to topological data analysis. In particular, we intend to study persistent homology and applications. As an application, it is intended to reanalyze real data on the cultivation of millet under changed temperature and carbon dioxide concentration conditions, using topological data analysis techniques. We intend to do a systematic stud of simplicial homology theory. After that some classical applications will be discussed, in particular the definition of degree of a continues map (at least for self-maps of the sphere), the Brower's fixed point theorem and Lefschetz's fixed point theorem.
The main objective of this project is to calculate the Bieri-Neumann-Strebel and other geometric invariants of finitely generated groups with application to the probelm of determining whether a given group has the property R-infinity.

We intend to study the braids groups of the torus, B_n(T), and the Klein bottle, B_n(K), with algebraic and geometric approach.
