Maria Martha Bernardi

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo, masters and PhD in Physiology, concentration area Pharmacology from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo and Post-doctorate in the Department of Pharmacology of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences-USP and in the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science-USP. He was Senior Visiting Professor (CAPES) at the Federal University of ABC. CNPq Research Scholarship - level 1 A. Currently linked to the Postgraduate Course in Environmental and Experimental Pathology of Veterinary Medicine at the Paulista University, and president of the Ethics Committee of the Paulista University (CEUA-UNIP). I have experience in the areas of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Neuroscience. The most important lines of research in which he works are related to developmental, reproductive and behavioral Toxicology. We studied the changes promoted in the perinatal period by immune system modulators, obesity, medications, heavy metals, pesticides and endocrine disruptors with a view to investigating behavioral, endocrine, epigenetic and molecular aspects and we also developed animal models for these studies. I am the editor of the book Farmacologia Aplicada à Medicina Veterinária and of several chapters in books on Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology as well as in a book on Animal Behavior and a chapter related to microplastics research. I am the leader and coordinator of the CNPq Research Group on Experimental and Environmental Neuropsychopharmacology and a member of the Plastics Working Group of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC). I collaborate with Brazilian Universities such as Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária USP and international ones such as Universidad de Los Llanos, Colombia and University of Chicago, USA.
