Gustavo de Medeiros Azevedo

Gustavo holds a Bachelor's and Master's in Physics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1993/1995) and a PhD in Physics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2000). He did a postdoctoral internship at Australian National University from 2000 to 2002. He is currently Associate Professor (with Tenure) at the Physics Institute at UFRGS. His research interests enconpass synthesis, structural characterization and computational modeling of non-crystalline inorganic materials, including glass, amorphous materials and nanostructures.
