Professor Renata Pereira Limberger is a Pharmacist (UFRGS, 1994) with a specialization in Toxicology (PUCRS, 2003), Master's (PPGCF / UFRGS, 1996) and Doctorate (PPGCF / UFRGS, 2001) in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Post-Doctorate in Chemistry (IQ / UNICAMP, 2004). She is currently an retired professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Department of Analysis, UFRGS), where worked as advisor for a master's, doctoral and post-doctoral supervisor at the Postgraduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul ( PPGCF / UFRGS), member of the National Institute of Forensic Science and Technology (INCT-Forense), member of the Academic Network of Health Sciences of Lusofonia (Coimbra, Portugal) and Co-editor of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the International Scientific Journal of the Academic Network of Sciences of the Lusophone Health (RevSALUS). Prof. Dr. Renata Limberger maintains technical-scientific cooperation agreements with the Rio Grande do Sul General Institute of Forensics (IGP-RS), Brazilian Federal Police (DPF-RS), Rio Grande do Sul Public Ministry (MP-RS) and international cooperation agreement with West Virginia University (WVU, Morgantown, USA), working in the areas of Phytochemistry and Toxicological Analysis, main topics: forensic toxicology analysis, abuse drugs, food supplements, weight loss and ergogenic products, essential oils, chemical profile of drugs, development and validation of analytical methods in toxicology in different biological matrices and raw samples, with emphasis on confirmatory analyzes by chromatographic techniques coupled with mass spectrometry. Throughout her career, Prof. Renata has organized or collaborated in the organization of a series of important scientific events in the areas of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Forensic Sciences, such as IX Latin American Symposium on Pharmacobotany and III Meeting of the Latin American Society of Phytochemistry (1999); III, IV and V Workshops of Pesticide Residues Analysts in RS (GETARA2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008); Campaign for the correct disposal of medicines (2008); I and II Southern Congress of Clinical and Laboratory Toxicology (TOXSUL2008 and 2011); V Regional Meeting of Forensic Toxicology in Latin America (TIAFT2009); 38th and 39th Academic Week of Pharmaceutical Studies (SAEF, 2012 and 2013); XVIII Brazilian Congress of Toxicology (2013); I SIDAT International Symposium on Drugs, Alcohol and Traffic (2013); I International Seminar on Forensic Chemistry (SIQUIF, 2014); 21st International Council Conference on Alcohol, Drugs and Traffic Safety (T2016); 1st ESCIF Winter School of Forensic Sciences (ESCIF, 2018) and 2nd ESCIF Winter School of Forensic Sciences (ESCIF, 2019).
