Rodrigo Moreira Garcia

PhD in progress in the Postgraduate Program in Information Science at the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA/USP). Master's degree in Information Science from the São Paulo State University - UNESP (2007, CAPES scholarship), undergraduate degree in Library Science from the São Paulo State University - UNESP (2004, IC FAPESP) and studied Production Processes at the São Paulo School of Technology - FATEC (1998). He is currently a Librarian at the Guita and José Mindlin Brasiliana Library of the University of São Paulo - USP (BBM/PRCEU/USP); member of the CNPq Research Group Studies and Practices of Digital Preservation of the IBICT; member of the Archives Network of São Paulo-SP (REDARQ-SP). He served as Chief Librarian of the Virtual Health Library of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at USP (BVSVET) (2010-2012). Between 2007 and 2010, he was an Information Analyst at the Latin American and Caribbean Center on Health Sciences Information - BIREME/PAHO/WHO - working in the Technical Coordination of several national and international Digital Projects. He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Library Science and Information Science, with emphasis on Information Representation, Organization and Retrieval, working mainly in the following areas: Search Techniques and Strategies, Information Behavior Models and, in recent years, he has worked in the Development, Management and Coordination of Information and Communication Technology Projects such as Libraries and Digital Repositories, Digital Curation and Preservation, Websites, Portals, Web Applications, Metadata Management, Social Media; In addition to Library Services, Collection Organization, among others.
