Rafael Nobrega Stipp

Prof. Stipp has Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry at FOP/UNICAMP (2000-2004), Master's Degree in Oral and Dental Biology at FOP/UNICAMP (2004-2006), PhD in Oral and Dental Biology at FOP/UNICAMP (2006-2010), with a trainee period at The Forsyth Institute - HARVARD School of Dental Medicine (2009 - 13 months). Have Post-doctorate at FOP/UNICAMP (2010-2013). Since 2013 he is a P.I. Level I Professor at FOP/UNICAMP, in the Microbiology and Immunology Area, held in Department of Oral Diagnosis of FOP/UNICAMP. His research lines includes: 1) Mechanisms of microbial biofilm formation; 2) Bacterial physiology at molecular biology level; 3) Study of bacterial virulence; 4) Ways of biofilm control; 5) Ways of controlling cross-contamination in dental care thru antimicrobial chemicals and cleaning, and; 6) Development of products for immediate application in the biotechnology market, at both research and clinical diagnostics areas.
