Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). Doctor in Sciences (Analytical Chemistry-2007) by the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP. Has experience in Analytical Chemistry, with emphasis on Chemometrics, working mainly on the following topics: Multivariate Calibration, Variable and Sample Selection Techniques, Multivariate Classification Techniques, Instrumental Signal Filtering, Planning and Optimization of Experiments, Spectroscopy in the Near Infrared (NIR), Applications in the Amazon, BioEconomy, Vegetable Oils, Food, Diesel Oil, Eucalyptus Wood. Former director of the Faculty of Chemistry, Former Vice-Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemistry (PPGQ-ICEN-UFPA). He is currently one of the coordinators of the Applied Analytical Spectrometry Group (GEAAP-ICEN-UFPA), created more than 15 years ago, currently with more than 20 members, partnerships inside and outside UFPA, including industries, also publishing scientific articles in the area and mainly training doctors, masters, graduates for the Amazon region and the world.
