He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (2003), a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (2006) and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (2010). He is currently an associate professor at the Federal University of São Carlos. He has experience in Computer Science, with an emphasis on Graphics Processing, Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence, working mainly on the following topics: complexity, shape and texture analysis, fractal dimension, medical image analysis, remote sensing and plant identification.
