She has a PhD in Biology from the University of Reading (2003); has an MSC in Biodiversity Management from the University of Kent at Canterbury (2001); and an MSC in Ecology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1996). She graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Biology (1991). Between 2004 and 2007, undertook post-doctoral research at the University of São Paulo/ Centre of Hydraulic Resources and Applied Ecology (CRHEA) sponsored by FAPESP. Presently, she works as a biologist with focus on Environmental Education (EE) at the Federal University of São Carlos (SP)/ General Secretary for Environmental Management and Sustainability. She is the head of the Department of Environmetal Education support. Her job involves the management of university extension activities in EE with internal and external communities, offering open courses and workshops, as well as supervising students in these extension related activities. Since, 2008, acts as a collaborating researcher in GEPEA (study and research group on Environmental Education) at UFSCar.
