Erika Kioshima has a degree in Pharmacy from the State University of Maringá (2003) and a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the Federal University of São Paulo (2009). She has done three post-doctoral training: 1) University of Brasilia, Department of Cell Biology (2009-2012) working in the areas of molecular biology of pathogenic fungi and heterologous expression of recombinant proteins. 2) LORIA - Laboratoire Lorrain de Recherche en Informatique et ses Applications (2012-2013), in the area of molecular modeling and virtual screening with a focus on the development of new antifungal drugs. 3) University of Florida, Center for Pharmacometrics Systems Pharmacology, Department of Pharmaceutics Lake Nona (2023-2024), working in the area of pharmacometrics focused on hepatic metabolism for in vitro/in vivo extrapolation and cell culture (three-dimensional models). Since 2013, she has been working at the State University of Maringá, currently as an Associate Professor with more than 60 articles published in the medical mycology area, with an emphasis on the design of new antifungal drugs. She is a reviewer for national and international journals. She has worked abroad (France and USA) and in Brazil (Unifesp, UCB, UnB, UFG). Member of the permanent teaching staff of the Postgraduate Program in Biosciences and Pathophysiology (PBF/UEM), tutoring master's and doctoral students. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
