Associate Professor at the Institute of Tropical Pathology and Public Health (IPTSP) at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). Postgraduate Coordinator of the Tropical Medicine and Public Health Program (2022 2024). Graduated in Medical Biological Sciences - Biomedicine, Master in Basic and Applied Immunology, and PhD in Experimental Pathology from the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP). Postdoctoral fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY, USA (2009 2010) and at Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo (2008 2012). Leader of research group (DGP/CNPq) - Pathology of Inflammatory, Infectious, Neoplastic Processes, and New Biotechnological Approaches (PatoInf-Bio). A postgraduate coordinator (PGC) is responsible for overseeing the work of all postgraduate research students within their school or discipline (2022 - 2024). Her research focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms related to sepsis, septic shock, and neglected tropical diseases (Chagas disease), as well as changes resulting from the toxicity of chemotherapy drugs.
