Eduardo G. Ciapina is an Assistant Professor (MS 3.2) at the Department of Chemistry and Energy of the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences of Guaratinguetá - UNESP, working in both undergraduate and graduate programs. He holds a Ph.D. in Sciences with specialization in Physical Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos (University of São Paulo - USP) and a Master's degree in Physical Chemistry from the same institution (2006). He completed his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry - UNESP in 2003.He conducted postdoctoral research at the Electrochemistry Group of the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos (IQSC/USP) from 2010 to 2012, including a research stay as a visiting researcher at Argonne National Laboratory (USA). Since 2004, he has been working primarily in Electrochemistry, with emphasis on electrocatalysis, fundamental electrochemistry, and electrochemistry of nanostructured materials. He has experience in the synthesis and characterization of nanostructures, including techniques that employ synchrotron radiation, such as X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy. He is the author of the book "Apresentações científicas nota 10!" (ISBN 978-65-86139-85-3) and co-author of 2 chapters in the "Handbook of Fuel Cells - Fundamentals, Technology, and Applications" (Wiley).
