Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Química (IQ) (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Brazil
He has a diverse academic formation in Chemistry and Nuclear Applied Technology, with multidisciplinary experience also in Nanotechnology and Pharmacy. As a Chemistry Technician he has already stage in the Drug Control Laboratory of the Pharmacy of Hospital das Clínicas (HCFMUSP) in 1999, where effect procedures described in Brazilian Pharmacopeia to dosing raw materials, solutions for organ preservation and for hemodialysis, and finished products that are used in hospital care and also the medicines distributed to the population. The also holds a Bachelor?s Degree in Chemistry with Technical Assignments by the University of São Paulo since 2003; in his formation received theoretical and experimental knowledge for acting as Chemist, and also knowledge about Administration, Unit Operations and Industrial Processes, which are important to the Chemical Engineering curriculum. He is a graduate of the University of São Paulo as PhD in Sciences - Inorganic Chemistry, since 2010. The project developed for this degree was conferred by the institution was financed by FAPESP, and covering the areas of Coordination Chemistry and Nanotechnology, through the study of adsorbed materials in metal electrodes and in nanoparticles, with special emphasis on Spectroscopy (Electronic and Vibrational - Infrared and Raman) and Electrochemical techniques, in which investigated the effects of Raman Signal intensification by Surface (SERS Effect) of systems of interest to determine its adsorption , and the way in which this occurs or not in free nanoparticles in solution and its aggregates. Throughout his post-graduation he also participated in internships in pedagogical monitoring at the institution to meet the needs of the undergraduate course in chemistry. At the end of 2012, he completed the Post-Doctoral Degree in Applied Nuclear Technology, by the Nuclear and Energy Research Institute (IPEN). As the project was developed according to the modality of funding of CNPq for research in private companies (RHAE), the researcher was able to experience how an academic researcher works in a company, and in which he also learned how to acquire knowledge and skills appropriate to this situation and which are not always the experience of academic research in university. The project was directed to the production of microparticles containing chemical elements whose radioisotopes are recognized in the literature for the diagnosis of cancer and for radiotherapy, with interest in addressing mainly the modality of Hepatic Brachytherapy since the survival of patients whose liver cancer finds in metastasis is very short, in a multidisciplinary project in concept; which involved the production of micromaterials, considerations on Human Physiology and Medicine, evaluation of stability and possibility of sterilization by exposure to gamma radiation, and notions of procedures performed in Pharmacy. In addition to the production of nanomaterials and micromaterials, he has experience in several techniques: Spectroscopies (UV-Visible, Infrared, Raman), EDS, Electroanalytical Methods, Gravimetry, Theoretical Chemistry (Semi-empirical Methods), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Flame Photometry, Scanning Electron Microscopy; and has knowledge and experience to interpret results obtained by the techniques of: Thermogravimetry, Mass Spectrometry, X-Ray Diffraction, Confocal Fluorescence Microscopy and Atomic Emission Plasma Spectrometry (ICP-AES). Currently works as a laboratory technician, by the Federal University of ABC, and as this institution offers access to research and periodicals, the professional is updating his knowledge.
