Vânia Sammartino Mariano

Biomedical Scientist with a Bachelor's degree from Centro Universitário Barão de Mauá (2003). Holds a Master's degree in Sciences from the Graduate Program in Cell and Molecular Biology (2007) and a Ph.D. in Basic and Applied Immunology (2012) from the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP), a CAPES grade 7 program. Completed a research internship at the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Texas at El Paso (USA), and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Molecular Oncology Research Center, Barretos Cancer Hospital Fundação Pio XII (20122017), with a focus on immunological mechanisms in cancer.Since 2017, she has been teaching undergraduate core courses in Cell Biology, Genetics, Histology, and Embryology for Health Sciences programs (Physical Education, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Psychology) at Anhanguera College of Piracicaba and the Piracicaba College of Technology (FATEP). She has served as a member of the Course Structuring Committee (NDE) for the Nursing program since 2022 and for the Physiotherapy program since 2023 at FATEP, contributing to curriculum development and academic quality enhancement.Her research experience includes Cell Biology, Immunology, and Molecular Oncology, with an emphasis on translational research and the interface between basic science and clinical application. From 2020 to 2022, she coordinated projects at Ilumina Association for Cancer Prevention and Early Diagnosis, focusing on innovation, public health, and cancer screening strategies. She also holds an MBA in Leadership and Coaching in People Management and Strategic Business Management from Universidade Anhanguera Uniderp, with additional interests in academic leadership and higher education teaching.
