Post-doctor fellow at Department of Entomology (Esalq/USP) and John Innes Centre, UK. Currently, Dr Canale is a researcher in plant disease at Epagri, a Brazilian statal company. Editor of the scientific journals Tropical Plant Pathology (IF 2.4) and Plant Disease (IF 4.5). Board member of the Brazilian Society of Phytopathology (Sociedade Brasileira de Fitopatologia - SBF), and member of the American Phytopathological Society (APS). Cristina is passionate about the insect-vectored corn stunt disease complex and citrus HLB. Research interests: vector-borne plant pathogens, such as maize mollicutes and viruses and citrus liberibacter, plant disease epidemiology, monitoring of pathosystems and integrated disease management.
