Birthplace: Brazil

In 2025, I finished a post-doc research at Casa de Oswaldo Cruz - Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), Rio de Janeiro, working on the history of climate sciences in the Amazon, part of the project "The Amazon as microcosm of the Anthropocene", coordinated by André Felipe Cândido da Silva (COC-Fiocruz), funded by CNPq and Fiocruz. I have a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology at the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, with a dissertion on travels, texts and images of tropical landscapes by naturalists travelers in the 19th century, from the entangled tropical forests to the weather-worlds of the savannas (Cerrado), funded by CAPES. I have a Master's degree in Social Anthropology, USP, with a thesis on climate change science in São Paulo, published in English as a book chapter (see Sillitoe (ed.) 2021), and financed in part by CNPq and in part by FAPESP. I have also a Bachelor's degree in International Relations at USP (2010). My research areas and interests intersect science studies and the environmental humanities; history of science, intellectual history, cultural studies. Since 2020, I co-coordinate the project Enciclopédia de Antropologia, an open-access encyclopedia of anthropology hosted at the University of São Paulo (http://ea.fflch.usp.br/en).
