Cristiano Capellani Quaresma

Ph.D. in Geography from the Institute of Geosciences at UNICAMP (2012), holding a Master's degree in Geography with a focus on Environmental Analysis and Territorial Dynamics, also from UNICAMP (2008). Additionally, graduated with a Bachelor's and Teaching degree in Geography from the same university in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Currently serves as a full-time faculty member and researcher at the University Nove de Julho (UNINOVE/SP), within the scope of the Postgraduate Program in Smart and Sustainable Cities (PPG-CIS), and also teaches courses in specialization and undergraduate programs at this institution. Specialized in Remote Sensing, Geoprocessing, and Geographic Information Systems, their research focuses on practical applicability, dedicating efforts to Socioenvironmental Analysis and Territorial Dynamics in urban areas. Research interests encompass topics such as socio-environmental vulnerabilities and their relation to urban phenomena, Ecosystem Services and Nature-Based Solutions, Socio-spatial Segregation, Urban Space and Democracy, Urban Mobility and Accessibility, utilization of geotechnologies in comprehending urban dynamics, and spatial criminology. Participated in courses and maintains collaborations with international research partners. Leads the CNPq research group "Cities of the Future," which brings together researchers from other institutions. Also, serves on urban studies committees and nuclei, including the Socioenvironmental Studies Nucleus of the São Paulo Commercial Association (NESA/ACSP), the Urban Policy Committee of the São Paulo Commercial Association (CPU/ACSP), and the Public Policy Observatory GT-Urbanism of the São Paulo Municipal Court of Auditors. Additionally, is a member of the Research Ethics Committee, CEP/Uninove. Actively participates in national and international events in the field of Urban and Regional Planning and Demography, PUR/D.
