PhD in Sociology from the University of São Paulo (2016), MA in Sociology also from the University of São Paulo (2010) and a BA in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Paraná (2005). She was a postoctoral fellow at the Center for the Study of Violence of the University of São Paulo (2017). Currently she is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of São Paulo and an Associate Researcher at the Center for the Study of Violence. Her area of expertise is Sociology, especially Sociology of Violence and Sociology of Punishment, with publications mainly in the following subjects: punishment, juvenile justice system, juvenile detention, Children and Adolescents Statute. Currently, at the Center for the Study of Violence, she participates in the CEPID-FAPESP program "Building democracy daily: human rights, violence and institutional trust", developing research about legitimacy considered from the perspective of the institutional actors responsible for law enforcement.
