Fernando Machado Alves

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of São Paulo (2004), a Master's degree in Geosciences (Geochemistry and Geotectonics) from the University of São Paulo (2008), and a Ph.D. in the Energy Program at the Institute of Energy and Environment of the University of São Paulo (2025). Currently serves as Managing Partner at Regea Geologia, Engenharia e Estudos Ambientais, a consulting firm specializing in Engineering and Environmental Geology. His areas of expertise include brittle tectonics, hydrogeology, fractured crystalline aquifers, disaster risk management (natural, technological, and toxicological), soil and rock stability, and geological-geotechnical and risk mapping.
