I am a teacher at Guignard School and the Postgraduate Program in Arts at the State University of Minas Gerais - UEMG. My academic career includes: post-doctorate in education at UFMG; doctorate in education from USP, with a sandwich scholarship at Roehampton University, in London; master's degree in art education from the University of Texas at Austin; Bachelor's degree in architecture and urbanism from UFMG and degree in fine arts from Escola Guignard. I am leader of the Research Group "O'pcevê! Poetic Learning Laboratory", linked to UEMG. Since 2000, I have been developing teaching, research and extension projects focusing on active teaching-learning methodologies aimed at expanding the reach and quality of the aesthetic experience and promoting the development of the ability to think critically about visual arts, built space and challenges of the contemporary world. My areas of activity include teacher training, cultural mediation, museum and heritage education and Built Environment Education - BEE. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
