Tem experiência na área de Biologia e Genética do Desenvolvimento, atuando principalmente com: biologia celular e molecular, bioquímica e genética de abelhas. Fez Pós-Doutorado (Bolsa BEPE-FAPESP) no Institute for Genomic Biology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, e na FMRP - USP.
