Samuel Rocha de Oliveira

Bachelor (1983) and Master (1986) in Physics from the University of Brasilia and Ph.D. (1992) in Physics from the University of Texas at Austin. Associate Professor at the State University of Campinas in the Department of Applied Mathematics since 1996. Researches in Mathematical Physics mainly in the following themes: general relativity, gravitation, black holes, numerical relativity, scientific computing, astrophysics and partial differential equations. He has also worked in the area of Mathematical Education and Scientific Literacy, mainly in the following subjects: digital didactic resources, learning objects, mathematics learning in digital multimedia, production of audio and video programs, and technologies in the teaching of mathematics.
