Graduated in Chemistry (Bachelor with Technological Assignments) from the Federal University of São Carlos, where she also obtained her masters and Ph.D. degrees in Organic Chemistry (Natural Products Chemistry). For almost 20 years, she has been conducting research on medicinal plants, searching compounds with biological potential. She is passionate about research projects that include university outreach, collaborating with various traditional communities in the Cerrado, focusing on promoting bioeconomy and the sustainable use of natural resources. Currently, she is an associate professor and coordinator of the Laboratory of Natural Products and Organic Synthesis at the Federal University of Goiás. She advises extension students, undergraduate research fellows, masters, and Ph.D. students in the Graduate Program in Chemistry at the same institution. She also supervises a researcher from EMATER in a postdoctoral internship. She has been an active member of the Brazilian Chemical Society (SBQ) since 2005, elected as treasurer (2020-2022) and director (2022-2024) of the Natural Products Division of SBQ. She actively participated in the SBQ Women's Group from 2020 to 2024, serving on the Events Committee. Additionally, she is a member of the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science (SBPC) and serves as Secretary of the institution, representing the Goiás Regional.
