Danúbia Frasson

Graduated in Biology at Western University of Paraná State (UNIOESTE) (2003). Master in Physiology at School of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto - University of São Paulo - (FMRP-USP) (2005). PhD. in Physiology at School of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto - University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP) (2010), was visiting student in University of California at Berkeley (UC-Berkeley). Pos-doctoral in Biochemistry at School of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto - University of São Paulo - FMRP-USP (2010-2011). Nowadays is Associate Professor II at Federal University of Latin-American Integration - UNILA of morphophysiology. Work as a permanent professor in the graduate program in Biosciences at UNILA. At UNILA, she was Coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Center for Life Sciences (CICV) (2017-2019) and also was Dean of Research and Graduate Studies (2019-2023). Served as Full Member or Alternate Member of Higher Teaching Commission and Higher Research Commission, in addition to the Higher Council of UNILA. Nowadays is a titular member of Biology Science course collegiate, and suply member of Biotecnology course collegiate. Has experience in General Biology, with emphasis on Endocrine Physiology and Lipid Metabolism, working mainly on the following topics: control of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism in adipose tissue; control of glycerol-3-phosphate generation by the sympathetic nervous system in adipose tissue.
