I studied Medicine at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN (1998-2004), with undergraduate research in the area of sleep, memory and anxiety. M.Sc. in Neuroscience by the Federal University of São Paulo (2005-2007), working with the influence of biological rhythms in sleep and memory. Ph.D. in Neuroscience by UFRN (2008-2012), investigating the epidemiological, cognitive-behavioral and neurophysiological aspects of lucid dreaming. Currently I am a post-doc at the Brain Institute and the Sleep Laboratory of Onofre Lopes University Hospital (UFRN), where we test a new drug for depression. I also work with sleep and dreams, altered states of consciousness, and neurobiological basis of music perception. Besides neuroscience, I also like to do scientific communication, to study etymology, to read about art and philosophy, and listen to music. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
