Dmitri Cerboncini Fernandes

Bachelor of Social Sciences, PhD in Sociology and postdoctoral degree in Social History from the University of São Paulo, with a internship period at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales - Paris. Associate Professor at the Department of Social Sciences of ICH - UFJF. I was coordinator of the Graduate Program in Social Sciences at UFJF (PPGCSO - UFJF), executive director of Editora UFJF and Assistant Editor (Sociology) of the Brazilian Journal of Social Sciences (RBCS). Leader of the CNPq Research Center "Capitalism, Collapse and Utopia" and associate researcher of the groups "Sociology of Social Distinctions" (UNIFESP), "Digital Humanities Laboratory" (UFBA) and the "Observatory for Living and Working Conditions" (Universidade Nova - Lisboa, Portugal). Coordinator of the research projects "Habitus, subjectivity and humiliation of homeless people in Juiz de Fora" and "Hot Critical Theory: Robert Kurz and the link with Frankfurt". 1st Place in the 2011 CAPES Thesis Award, sociology area. Winner of the award for best doctoral thesis from the Graduate Program in Sociology at the University of São Paulo - 2010. Honorable Mention to the book "Sentinelas da Tradição" (EDUSP, 2018) in the 5th ABEU Award (2019). Co-organizer of a book (Social Logics of Taste, 2019, EdUnifesp) selected among the best of 2019 by "Quatro, Cinco Um, A Revista dos Livros". Ad hoc reviewer for several journals and FAPESP projects. I have experience in the areas of sociology and history, especially in relation to the following themes: sociological theory, social theory, critical theory, homeless people, popular music, cultural industry, artists, intellectuals.
