Arthur Kaufman

Graduated in Medicine at the Escola Paulista de Medicina - Federal University of São Paulo (1971), Medical Residency in Psychiatry at the University of São Paulo (1972-1973), Master's Degree at the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo (1980). PhD from the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo (1988). He is currently a Doctor Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. For 18 years he was coordinator of PRATO - Obese Care Program, at the Psychiatry Institute of Hospital das Clínicas, FMUSP. It assists patients in Clinical Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, most of them are overweight and obese, and for these there is a more targeted work (with the help of other specialists). He was part of the Health team of the Bem Estar Program, of Rede Globo, and of the program Emagrece Brasil, of Abril Cultural. He was part of the reality show Quem Perde Ganha, of Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (SBT). He published 19 complete articles in national and international journals. It has 26 book chapters and 2 published books. Has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Psychiatry, working on the following topics: Obesity, Eating disorders and Psychodrama.
