Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Midwifery from the School of Nursing of the University of São Paulo (EEUSP) and Degree in Nursing from the Faculty of Education USP. He received a master's degree in Administration in Nursing Services, a doctorate in Nursing and Free Teaching, all from EEUSP. He is Associate Professor 3 at the Department of Public Health Nursing at EEUSP, working in undergraduate, postgraduate and extension teaching. Research Productivity Scholarship 2 from CNPq. The research developed is linked to the following areas: nursing, health management, care for the elderly in public health, communicable diseases (infection control, biosafety, STD/AIDS, hepatitis) and nutritional therapy (parenteral and enteral), with publications in the areas mentioned. He is a member of the editorial board of the Revista Brasileira de Nutrição Clínica (SBNPE), Actualizaciones en Enfermería (Colombia), Rev. Brasileira de Enfermagem and ad-hoc: Revista da EEUSP, Acta Paulista, Rev. Ciência Saúde Coletiva, Rev. Latino Americana Nursing, among others. He is a member of several societies related to his area of #8203;#8203;activity, being a member of the board of directors of the Brazilian Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. Leader of the Research Group: "Senescence and senility: challenges in health care", registered in the CNPq Research Directory. He was vice-president (2015-2017 and 2019-2021) and president (2019-2021) of the Research and Innovation Commission.
