Andrea Piccini

Full time Professor RDIDP of the University of São Paulo at EESC of São Carlos-USP and at EPUSP of São Paulo-USP from 1986 to 2000, holds a degree in Architecture - University of Florence (1974), Master of Architecture and Urbanism by University of São Paulo (1991), Doctorate in Civil Engineering by the University of São Paulo (1999), Master's Degree in Jewish and Arab Studies by the University of São Paulo (2000), Consultant-technician of the Prefect Faria Lima Foundation, urbanist Has experience in the area of Architecture and Urbanism working mainly in the themes: society and community, urbanism, restoration, territorial and regional planning. Professor of History of Arabic Architecture, Coordinator of International Cooperation Projects USP-PCC-POLI with Polytechnic of Torino, Italy and with ITU-Technical Institute-Faculty of Architecture of Istanbul University, Turkey. He is a Consultant of International Relations and Cooperation for Projects, mainly in the Arab Countries and Turkey. He is Coordinator of International Relations of UNISOL BRAZIL, Central of Cooperatives and Solidarity Enterprises of Brazil, São Paulo, Brazil, for the organization of programs and projects of International Cooperation with partners in Europe and Latin America. He was Advisor for International Relations at the Office of the Mayor of Osasco Municipality and Director of International Relations of the same DRI Department of the Regional Development and Action Secretariat, SDAR, of the City of Santo André, São Paulo. He develops and publishes studies on Islamic Arabic Architecture and Culture in the Middle East and Central Asia, collaborating with the Department of Eastern Languages, Arabic Language and Culture of USP FFLCH, with research, postgraduate activities and extension classes as Group Leader of Research of CNPq. He develops Post-Doctorate activities, with research in South Siberia (Russia) and seminars at the MAE-Museum of Archeology and Ethnology of USP-SP, in the Laboratory of Roman Provincial Archeology from 2013 until currently 2018.
