PhD in Sciences by the Postgraduate Program in Bioactive Products and Biosciences at UFRJ- Campus Macaé, with a thesis on synthetic molecules with antifungal and antiviral activities. She conducted part of her doctoral research at the University of Florida USA, with a PDSE grant from Capes. She was a postdoctoral researcher researching molecules with antifungal activity on Sporothrix sp., Project funded by CNPq. She held her master's degree in Microbiology and Immunology in the Postgraduate Program in Oral Biopathology, working on the investigation of biological activities of herbal medicines at the Institute of Sciences and Technology of Unesp in São José dos Campos. She graduated in Biological Sciences from Unesp, where she did her scientific initiation in cell biology and toxicology in a project financed by Fapesp. She worked as a microbiologist in the Janssen Cilag pharmaceutical and Heineken Brazil beverage industries. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
