Bachelors and Teaching Degree in Biological Sciences from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP). Masters and Doctorate in Sciences with an emphasis on Applied Ecology, both obtained through the Interdepartmental Graduate Program in Applied Ecology at ESALQ/USP. Completed a Sandwich Doctorate at the Biodiversity and Conservation Ecology Lab at the University of Utah (USA) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Cagan H. #350;ekercio#287;lu. Postdoctoral research (PNPD CAPES Fellowship) through the Graduate Program in Applied Ecology at ESALQ/USP and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology (USA, Cornell University). Collaborating researcher at the Laboratory of Ecology, Management, and Conservation of Wildlife (LEMaC) in the Department of Forest Sciences at ESALQ/USP and at the Manacá Institute. Creator and coordinator of the citizen science project "Did I see a banded bird?!" and founding member of the Brazilian Citizen Science Network.Conducts scientific research primarily in the following areas: Bird conservation in anthropogenic environments; Birds in urban and agricultural landscapes; Fauna as a tool for assessing environmental impacts; Environmental Impact Studies; Birdwatching as a tool to promote environmental education and citizen science; Landscape Ecology; Birds as promoters of ecosystem services.Has teaching experience in high school, preparatory courses for university entrance exams (as a biology teacher), and higher education. Served as a substitute professor at the Federal University of São Carlos Lagoa do Sino campus (courses: Community and Ecosystem Ecology; Biological Diversity), lead professor for the course Survey Techniques, Analysis, and Diagnosis of Wild Bird Fauna in Environmental Studies in the Postgraduate Lato Sensu program (Specialization Level): Assessment of Flora and Fauna in Environmental Studies at UFLA/MG, and professor at the University of Santo Amaro, teaching Environmental Legislation Use and Conservation of Fauna. Provides occasional lectures in other undergraduate programs (such as Biological Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Forestry Engineering, and Environmental Management) and postgraduate programs (such as Environmental Management at ESALQ/USP) and offers mini-courses and workshops on topics related to ornithology and managing environmental impacts in degraded areas.
