The physician João Manoel Theotonio dos Santos is Doctor of Science with focus on Cardiology by University of São Paulo, Medical School (Concept 5 in the evaluation of CAPES). He was Coordinator of the Cardiovascular Records Committee of the Cardiovascular Imaging Department of the SBC - 2010/2011, Coordinator of the Thematic Campaigns Committee of the Cardiovascular Imaging Department of the SBC - 2014/2015, Member of the Cardiovascular Health Promotion Committee of the Brazilian Society of Cardiology ( SBC/FUNCOR) - 2014/2015, Delegate for the State of São Paulo at the Brazilian Society of Cardiology - 2016/2017 and Coordinator of Social Network Actions of the Brazilian Society of Cardiology - 2016/2017. He has published several book chapters on various topics in clinical medicine, cardiology and emergency; he also co-supervised 2 theses at the doctoral level, 4 at the master's thesis level, as well as teaching more than 60 doctors in long-term internships, accredited by specialty associations affiliated to the Brazilian Medical Association and Medical Residency Programs. He was Director of Teaching and Research at the Instituto Policlin de Ensino e Pesquisas (IPEP_Hospital Policlin) in São José dos Campos - SP - Brazil and Coordinator of the Medical Residency Programs in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Intensive Medicine - National Commission for Medical Residency (CNRM / MEC) - 2011 to 2022.
