PhD in Media Studies and Media Production (ECA-USP, 2008, advisor: Prof. Dr. Ismail Xavier; Fapesp fellowship). Post-Doctor in Arts (PUC-SP, 2014; supervisor: Prof Dr Arlindo Machado; Fapesp fellowship). Post-Doctor at ECA-USP (supervisor: Prof. Dr. Cristian Borges; Capes fellowship). He conceived and teached the postgraduate course Found Footage: film reappropriation as a method for cinema studies (ECA-USP, 2016). As a filmmaker, his complete works were presented at Rio International Film Festival (2002), 56th Locarno International Film Festival (2003, section "Filmmakers of Presente"), 6th International Short Film Festival of Belo Horizonte (2004) and 16th Festival International of Electronic Art Sesc_Videobrasil 2007 (individual room in the curatorial axis "Cinema + Arts + Video"). Since 1989 [until 2020, he has made 19 films, among experimental films, film-essays, documentaries and cinepoemas of found footage.
