Researcher, ornithologist, biologist and photographer. Brazilian naturalized from Poland. She holds a master's degree in biology from the University of Warsaw, Poland (2003), a doctorate (2009) and two postdoctoral degrees (2012 and 2013) in Experimental Epidemiology Applied to Zoonoses from the University of São Paulo (FMVZ-USP), Brazil. She has experience in the area of parasitology, molecular biology, ecology and epidemiology related to emerging diseases and environmental changes. He has dedicated years to working with ticks, creating a collection of images available online https://www.flickr.com/photos/22824835@N07/collections/72157684846362416/. Since 2014, researcher in public health at Instituto Oswaldo Cruz/IOC, Fundação Oswaldo Cruz - FIOCRUZ, Rio de Janeiro, working in the laboratories of Hantavirus and Rickettsiosis (2014-2019) and of Respiratory Viruses, Exanthematous, Enteroviruses and Viral Emergencies (2019-current) focusing on viruses of animal origin. Professor and advisor for the postgraduate course in Biodiversity and Health, IOC, Fiocruz. Since 2019 she has been part of the FIOANTAR project participating in expeditions (OPENANTAR) to the Antarctic continent. Member of the Technical Working Group of the Commission for the Prevention and Control of Zoonotic Influenza in the Americas (CIPCIZA) by PAHO. Member of the Ecology and Zoonoses Monitoring Network in the One Health approach at IOC/Fiocruz and member of the One Health Virome Network project at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute.
