Graduated in Dentistry from the School of Dentistry at the University of São Paulo (1983), holds a master's degree in Dentistry, with an emphasis on Integrated Clinic, from the same institution (1991), and a Ph.D. in Dentistry, specializing in Dental Materials, also from the University of São Paulo (1994). He is a specialist in Restorative Dentistry certified by CRO-SP (1991) and a professor at the University of São Paulo.His academic and professional trajectory is marked by extensive experience in the field of Dentistry, focusing on Clinical Dentistry, particularly in the areas of dental adhesives, composite resins, adhesion, and teeth whitening.Since 2022, he has been deeply dedicated to the field of assistive technology, with a focus on providing care for people with visual impairments. In this context, he participated in the development of the DigitaVox USP software/application and founded CRAI ACESSA, the accessibility branch of the Resource Center for Learning, Research, and Innovation (CRAI) at the School of Dentistry of the University of São Paulo (FOUSP).He was also a member of the Working Group on Inclusion and Belonging for People with Disabilities at USP, linked to the Pro-Rectory for Inclusion and Belonging, and is an active member of the Inclusion and Belonging Committee at FOUSP.Additionally, he is a researcher at the Assistive Technology Center (NTA) at UFSCAR, Sorocaba campus, and at the Multidisciplinary Center for Development in Assistive Technology, part of the CCDs program by FAPESP. He collaborates with STI USP on projects aimed at implementing accessibility for people with disabilities on USPs portals.He is also part of the research group for the CNPq universal project titled "Inferential Resources in Situated Metaphor and Audiodescription - A Contrastive Study."He coordinates several projects and initiatives in assistive technology for visually impaired individuals and collaborates with the Department of Disability Rights of the Government of the State of São Paulo.He is the coordinator of the Research Group "Development of Assistive Technology Resources for Activities of Daily Living and Education for People with Visual Impairments," part of the Call for Research Support in Assistive Technologies developed by interinstitutional groups in the State of São Paulo (Project No. 2024.1.3013.1.0.).
