Artur Fernandes

Holds a degree in Biomedicine from the State University of Londrina (2004), a Master's (2008) and a PhD (2014) in Physiology from the University of São Paulo. Completed a Technical Training Internship in Biochemistry (2015) and a Post-doctoral Internship in Genetics at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School - USP, conducting basic research in Epigenetics of Epilepsies, with a special focus on the lineage of animal models for reflex epilepsies, the Wistar Audiogenic Rats, at the Department of Genetics of FMRP-USP. Has experience in the fields of Physiology and Genetics, with an emphasis on Neurophysiology. He has participated in various classes, lectures, and scientific dissemination activities as a speaker or organizer. Noteworthy are the Brain Awareness Week and the National Brain Week. Was also responsible for creating the illustrations for two neuroscience books, as well as numerous images for scientific event themes. Currently holds a position as Professor at the UniCerrado University Center in Goiatuba, responsible for the subjects of Medical Biophysics, Human Histology I and II. A member of the Research Group in Neurobiology of Behavior, Cognition, and Emotions, he collaborates in research related to stress and its neuropsychiatric consequences. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
