Graduated in Medicine at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1984), Residency in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1986), MSc in Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1988), PhD in Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, State University of Campinas (1993) and Certificate of Specialisation in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Brazilian Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics Societies (FEBRASGO, 2000). As a consultant for Reprolatina - Innovative Solutions in Sexual and Reproductive Health, has worked mainly on the design, implementation, and evaluation of research, interventions, and programs in the field of sexual and reproductive health, with a focus on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health, STI/HIV/AIDS and Family Planning, in Brazil and other Latin American countries, as well as the implementation of health education projects and programs aimed at improving the quality of care in sexual and reproductive health services, with a focus on adolescent health, family planning, prevention of gender-based violence and the sexual and reproductive health of women and adolescents with disabilities. Currently is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas and a volunteer professor at the Pramana Institute. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
