Bachelors degree in Biology by Universidade de Brasilia (UNB), masters degree in immunology at Universidade de Campinas (UNICAMP) and PhD in Immunology by Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and Pos-doctored in Immunology of Infectious by Infectious Disease Research Institute (IDRI), Seattle, WA, USA. Currently works as a Senior Researcher at Instituto Butantan and advisor of post graduate program in Biotechnology USP/IPT/IB and as a supervisor at the Specialization Course in Biotechnology for Health - Vaccines and Biopharmacals at the Instituto Butantan. Works on projects associated with immune mechanisms and infection control and in investigation of compounds with antimicrobial and immunomodulatory activity with therapeutic potential in infection control.Has experience in immunology of the following infections: Trypanosoma cruzi, Leishmania, Toxoplasmosis, Bordetellas sp and E. coli.
