Ciro Winckler de Oliveira Filho is a Full Professor at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), working in the Undergraduate Physical Education program and the postgraduate Stricto Sensu program in Human Movement Sciences and Rehabilitation. He holds a master's and a doctorate in Physical Education, with a focus on Physical Activity, Adaptation, and Health, from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Throughout his career, he has played a prominent role in the sports scene, serving as the Technical Coordinator of Athletics for the Brazilian Paralympic Committee from 2004 to 2016 and subsequently holding the position of Coordinator of Sports Sciences from 2017 to 2020. His field of study centers on Physical Education, with a special emphasis on Adapted Physical Activity and Paralympic Sports. His academic and research activities aim to understand the processes of physical adaptation and rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities, as well as to develop specific strategies and approaches for sports practice in the Paralympic context. Ciro is recognized for his contributions to teaching and research in Adapted Physical Education, as well as for his dedication to promoting inclusion and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities through physical activity and parasports.
