I have a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences by the Universidade de Taubaté (2008), and a Master's and a Doctorate's degree in Ecology by the University of Brasilia (UnB 2013 and 2018). As a PhD candidate, I participated in an international internship program at the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in 2017. I was a research fellow at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE, Brasil) in 2018, and a USGS John Wesley Powell Center for Analysis and Synthesis postdoctoral fellow at Oregon State University from 2019-2023. Now, I am a research scientist with the USGS Research Participation Program administered by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). I have experience in terrestrial ecology, ecosystems ecology, biogeochemistry, nitrogen cycle, biological nitrogen fixation, mangrove ecology, stable isotopes, R scripting, and GIS scripting.
