Fernanda Cordeiro da Silva

Physiotherapist graduated from Universidade Nove de Julho (2010), Specialization in Neurofunctional Physiotherapy from Universidade Nove de Julho (2011), Master's and Doctorate in Rehabilitation Sciences from Universidade Nove de Julho (2014) and (2017) respectively. I have experience with rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders, both adult and pediatric, with emphasis on Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Cerebral Palsy and Early Intervention. I also have experience in the management of Electromyography, Photobiomodulation and Neuromodulation (TDCS) for the treatment, associated with physiotherapy, of neurological disorders.In the last 5 years, I went to Tanzania where I founded Physiotherapists Without Borders, a humanitarian project of the NGO Acts of Life Tanzania. This project aims to advocate for people with disabilities, ensuring access to physiotherapy, based on scientific evidence, for people living in remote regions. The emphasis of this project has been the search for premature, term and/or post-term children who are at risk for Cerebral Palsy and to intervene early. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
