Thaís Gimenez Cóvos

I hold a Bachelors degree in Dentistry from the University of São Paulo (FOUSP-SP, 2009), a Ph.D. in Dental Sciences with a concentration in Pediatric Dentistry from FOUSP-SP (2016), and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry from FOUSP (2020). Currently, I serve as a Tenured Assistant Professor (RDIDP) in Pediatric Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, University of São Paulo (FOUSP), following a public selection process conducted in December 2024, pending legal formalities.Previously, I was a faculty member in the Graduate Program in Dentistry and taught Pediatric Dentistry (undergraduate level) at Universidade Ibirapuera (UNIB, 08/2016 to 08/2022) and Universidade Metropolitana de Santos (UNIMES, 10/2022 to 02/2024). Additionally, I served as a Collaborating Professor III (PART Program) in Pediatric Dentistry at FOUSP (03/2020 to 03/2021) and a temporary adjunct professor (12 hours per week) in Pediatric Dentistry at FOUSP (11/2023 to 12/2024).I have supervised and co-supervised dissertations and theses in the fields of Pediatric Dentistry, Surgery, Dental Implants, and Prosthodontics. I am the author and co-author of numerous national and international scientific articles, book chapters, e-books, and a contributing author of the National Guidelines in Pediatric Dentistry published by the Brazilian Association of Pediatric Dentistry (ABOPED).I am a member of the Brazilian Pediatric Dentistry Team (EBO) and the São Paulo Pediatric Dentistry Association (APO). I serve as an Associate Editor for the journal BMC Oral Health and as a reviewer for various national and international journals.I am also trained in Forensic Dentistry, specifically in judicial expertise and technical assistance.
