PhD in Information Science from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo - ECA / USP and a degree in Library and Documentation from the same institution. Professor at Information and Culture Department of ECA / USP and participates in the Post-Graduate Program in Information Sciences (PPGCI - ECA / USP), in the research line of Knowledge Organization. Academic Advisor of USP's Controlled Vocabulary of the USP Library System. Researcher and member of the Research Support Center in Collaborative Environments on the Web (NaWeb of USP). She participates as researcher of the ARQUIGRAFIA Project and the Open-Air Museum Project at INCT. Researches topics in the organization of textual and image information in analogue and digital environments, representation of information in networks, information systems and databases in libraries, archives and web, documentary languages, controlled and structured vocabulary, social networks and environments Learning.. Has professional experience in descriptive representation and indexing, controlled vocabulary elaboration, indexing, content management on the internet, promotion, dissemination and management of libraries. She was a librarian at BIREME, working with the LILACS database, a librarian supervising the Information Processing Service of the Library / CIR of the School of Public Health of USP and a librarian supervising the Promotion and Dissemination Service of the Library Division of the Medicine School of USP.
