Fabiano Fruett was born in São Caetano do Sul, Brazil in 1970. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the São Paulo State University (UNESP), Ilha Solteira, Brazil, in 1994 and the M.S. degree in microelectronics from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Campinas, Brazil, in 1997. In March 1997, he joined the Smart Sensors Group at the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), the Netherlands, where he worked towards his Ph.D. in the field of microelectronic sensors. He received the Ph.D. degree from TU Delft in 2001. The main results of his research were published in a book by Kluwer Academic publishers. In 2002, he joined the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEEC-UNICAMP), Campinas, Brazil, where he is an Associated Professor. His current research interests include Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS), analogue electronics, microelectronic sensors and instrumentation and Internet of Things (IoT).
