Graduated in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1987), in Pedagogy from the University of São Paulo (2012), Master in Medicine (Neurology) from the University of São Paulo (1996) and doctorate in Medicine (Neurology) from the University of São Paulo (1999). She held a Medical Residency in Child Neurology (1988-1992) and training in Electroencephalography (1992-1993) at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Medical School of the University of São Paulo and Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, USA (1993-1994). She completed a post-doctorate with CAPES scholarship at Children's Hospital Boston, Harvard University in 2010. She is currently a neurologist at the University of São Paulo and at the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp), advisor to the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at Unifesp and technical and scientific advisor at the Teaching, Research and Innovation Center of the Jô Clemente Institute. She has experience in the field of Neurology, with an emphasis on Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy, acting mainly on the following themes: electroencephalography, epilepsy, typical absence, juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, idiopathic generalized epilepsy, antiepileptic drugs, ketogenic diet, child neurology and intellectual disability. She is currently the honorary president of the Brazilian Association of Epilepsy. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
