Graduate in Physics at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (1992). Master in Physics at the Universidade de São Paulo - USP (1996), ?Construction and characterizations of a small-angle X-ray scattering chamber for SAXS measurements in absolute units?. PhD in Physics at the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (2003), ?Nanoagregates in glass matrices?. Beamline scientist of the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS), Campinas SP, at the SAXS1 Small-angle X-ray scattering beamline (1997-2003) and at the XRD2 X-ray diffraction beamline (2003-2010). Professor at the Physics Department in the Universidade Federal do Paraná UFPR since 2010. Researcher of Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq), since 2010. The scientific investigation topics involves the study of thermally activated kinetics of formation and growth of metallic and semiconductor nanoparticles in glasses, solid-to-liquid and liquid-to-solid transitions of nanoparticles, preparation and in situ characterization of nanoparticles in thin films, and scientific instrumentation.
