Jaylson Jair da Silveira

He holds a bachelor's degree (1994) and a master's degree (1998) in Economics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of São Paulo (IPE/FEA/USP, 2001). He completed two postdoctoral studies, one at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (2013-2014) and the other at FEA-USP (2020-2021). Currently he is an Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and International Relations at Federal University of Santa Catarina (Florianópolis, Brazil), and also a member of the Graduate Program in Economics (PPGEco) of the same university. He was previously Assistant Professor of Economics both in the Department of Economics at São Paulo State University (Araraquara, Brazil), and in the Department of Economics at the University of São Paulo (Ribeirão Preto, Brazil). He has held visiting scholar positions in the Department of Economics at the University of Massachusetts (Amherst, USA), and in the Department of Economics at the University São Paulo (São Paulo, Brazil).
