Has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering of the University of São Paulo since 1987. Member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Maritime Engineering - Royal Institution of Naval Architectcs (UK). Was a researcher of the Brazilian National Council of Research and Development - CNPq. Has experience in Naval and Oceanic Engineering, focusing on the Dynamics and Hydrodynamics of Ships and other Ocean Vessels, with emphasis on the dynamics of ship capsize in waves and ship maneuverability.
